A fine, late-17th century, oak sidetable

The plank top in two sections and faced with a sold, ovolo, moulded edge. The frieze fitted with a single drawer with a replaced, 17th century, brass handle. Standing on bobbin turned legs, joined by square stretchers, on original toes. The drawer lined in pine. Excellent original colour and patina. English, second half of the 17th century.

This elegant sidetable is of exceptional quality. It has a lustrous patina and simple lines. It has survived in almost untouched condition, the only replacement being the brass handle which is contemporary in date.
