Rare, two-section, Tuscan, model which configures both as a circular, centre table and a pair of demilune consoles or sidetables, 1690-1720
This dismantable form evolved from tables used in monasteries and is very practical. The tables are extremely versatile as they can function as a circular centre table or a Stand against a wall as pair of consoles or beside a settee as sidetables. They are very elegant, have a lustrous patina and are in excellent condition. Each table has a plank top made from two sections of timber with a dentil moulding below. Supported by three scroll shaped legs joined by 'T' section rectangular stretchers. Old worm damage, wear and losses commensurate with age.
