The three piece top has cleated edges and is faced with an ebonised, solid, ogee moulding. The frieze is fitted with a single drawer with original escutcheon and working lock. Standing on baluster and ball turned legs with ebonised rings. The 'os de mouton' central stretcher is most unusual to see on a sidetable. The edges of this and the shaped side stretchers are ebonised as are the rings on the bold, central finial. The table stands on bun feet. Good original colour and patina. French, last half of the 17th century.
