MAKER Henry Teesdale, London, 1834 BIBLIOGRAPHY New British Atlas Henry Teesdale published his first "New British Atlas" in 1829. Its initial success allowed Teesdale to publish a further seven editions in slightly different formats up until 1848 when the company was taken over by H G Collins. Teesdale also produced large folding decorative county maps which rivalled the map makers Charles and James Greenwood.
