A rare, late-16th/early-17th century, walnut cabinet with fine, marquetry & parquetry inlay

The top is inlaid with delicate, profuse sprays of tulips and peonies. The sides and front are inlaid with bold, architectural arches and columns with castles on the horizon giving deep perspective. The interior is inlaid with mythical and exotic animals in country landscapes. The borders chequerwork. The cabinet retains its original shading notably strong greens inside. Some knobs replaced. Old repairs to veneers and ironwork, on later bun feet. Pine carcass. Either German (Augsburg/Ulm) or Austrian, most likely last quarter of the 16th century.
