MASSIVE 145CM, 57" LONG, VINTAGE, SPECIMEN MARBLE, TOP UNITED WITH AN IRON BASE IN THE MANNER OF MARCEL COARD Striking conversation piece with 143 marble specimens creating a colourful visual display in the interior The juxtaposition of a classic specimen top with a modern base is dynamic and works with period, modern and contemporary schemes and collections. The 3cm., 1 inch thick top inset with a large central square section of marble surrounded by two marble borders which are repeated in rectangular sections either side and surrounded by one hundred and thirty six small square specimens to create a geometric design. The marbles from Italy and Asia Minor including malachite and lapis lazuli. Enclosed within a marble border. Currently united with a low iron base in the manner of an iconic piece by Marcel Coard (1889-1974).
