A fine, Flemish, oak cupboard dated 1644

The top has a deep, ogee moulded cornice with carved ornament and applied ebonised roundels. The deep frieze is finely carved with trailing acanthus leaves and masks. The front has two small doors above two large doors both revealing cupboards inside. The doors have deep mouldings surrounding finely carved, panels centred with busts. The front has bold, ionic columns with fine carving and ebony reeding. The drawer mirrors the frieze above and is dated 'anno 1644' Finely carved lion heads mirroring the columns above. The cupboard stands on bun feet. There are minor repairs and replacements. The cupboard is a lovely, pale, colour retaining a dry patina.
