The top has two, large, inset, moulded panels, opening to reveal wrought iron and velvet panelled strap hinges, and a till, The front has a decorative escutcheon in the centre above a small inlaid geometric panel. The two, deep, geometric, moulded panels either side, frame fine, inlaid images of songbirds. The two, deep, geometric moulded panels either side of these contain fine, inlaid stellar motifs, There are small inlaid and moulded geometric panels bedside and below the larger panels. The front has chequer banding and stringing down the sides and along the bottom. The sides have moulded panels and wrought iron carrying handles. The bottom has a shaped apron.
